The Walking Dead (2)

[Spoiler Alert]

Maaaaan! I just finished watching the second season of The Walking Dead and it is just tooooo aaaweeesooomeee!!!!

They have really applied the "twist in the story" right!
Fuuuuuuuck! (am I allowed to publish that word? LOL)
SO we have Shane gone crazy and put down by his best friend Rick. Meanwhile half the group dies in a zombie avalanche and when they get back together, Rick is broken and becomes a goddam dictator!
Another thing, no wonder my friends and the whole internet is pissed off at Lori! What a bitch! She needs to get her fucking priorities straight!

Oh! And let us NOT forget that mysterious hooded ninja who just saved Andrea and has two unarmed (get it?) zombies chained up following him or her!

Third season is going to be great! Let's see where it takes us!

9.5/10!!!

BTW, was I the only one who thought they needed swords already?

2-Headed Shark Attack

Today I want to to talk about a film that I saw mentioned on 9gag and could NOT believe that existed!!

2-Headed Shark Attack tells the typical story of americans lost a paradise island, with hot chicks and guys who want to party and have sex (starring Carmen Electra, for example) who get stupidly killed by a shark. But this time the shark has TWO heads!!! LOL

I really really really thought these kind of films did not exist anymore! I mean, I knew films like Godzilla vs King Kong and German films for Sunday afternoons like Moth Man (which doesn't even appear on IMDb, just checked) existed, but this is just too much!

OK I know it's going to sound biased on my part, but I have only watched the trailer and I will mark this film -2/10.
Yeah I know that films can be so much better than their trailer, and that there is a possibility of great special effects and an actually interesting and deep script... but I will take my chances.

Here is the trailer, enjoy!

The Walking Dead

This is very possible one of the most entertaining and attention-grabbing series as of lately. The Walking Dead has just finished its second season and it is great. I am actually only half way through, although my so called friends have already spoiled it terribly. No problem because it is very enjoyable to watch and it has you hanging on the edge of your seat to see what happens next.
This series is like a zombie film but over many episodes and each one of them has a great production which makes the scenery, make up and action scenes as thrilling as a good action movie.

9/10 you cannot miss it if you like zombies, action and suspense.

Downton Abbey

So I watched the first episode of Downton Abbey, the series is set in the pre- WWI England, where a family of lords is faced with a great problem: The Titanic just sunk and the two heirs have died. The next in line is a third cousin which no one has ever met and the worst part of all... he is a doctor, part of the working class.
This very interesting series shows the relationship between the different social classes and the inner machinations that lords, servants and basically everyone have going on.

I have only watched the first episode but its a 9/10 and I will watch the rest for sure!

Wakey!Wakey!

OK I wasn't planning on doing another post for some days until I checked through a friend's blog and found this band: Wakey!Wakey!

My friend's blog is pretty cool, it's all about music and you can find loads of different things. This is her site: http://musicoftheages.wordpress.com/
Check it out it's worth it!

Going back to this band, my friend says that the singer, Mike Grubbs, had a role on One Tree Hill for some episodes, but I wouldn't know!

Here are a couple of songs, see what you think about them:

Well I hope you enjoyed that! I will go for an 8/10 for these guys too.
Here's their website if you're interested in knowing more!

The Grey

They other day I watched Liam Neeson's last film: The Grey.
Seven workers for a petrol company see themselves in a tight situation when their plane crashes in the middle of Alaska and they are the only survivors. Liam Neeson is the company's hunter (so the animals in Alaska don't eat the workers when they are outside) and he tries to lead the group to safety.

It shouldn't be too complicated, because they are only seven, they have no food, no shelter, no weapons and.. oh yeah, they have crashed in the hunting territory of an angry pack of grey wolves. It seem that wolves in Alaska are enormous because these bastards are going to start ripping the fuck out of the poor workers while they try to get so safety.

It is probably one of the most distressing films I have ever watched, but the idea works out pretty well, even if the plot sounds somewhat stupid. It works out cool, I promise.
The cinematography is very cool too, with what looks like steady cams all the way and plays with light and darkness. Also the photography is very nice, although it is not difficult given that Alaska is pretty much virgin.

Very recomendable film: 8/10

Oh BTW, do not miss the end! It is one of the most badass things I've seen!

this is sebas' random hobbies!

Hi there!

I am sebas and this is the blog I have created to talk about and share my hobbies and the things I spend my time on. This can include -but not be limited to- cinema, music, photography, sports and any other random thing that catches my attention.

I hope you guys enjoy it!

In this first entry I want to talk about Walk the Moon, an indie-rock band from the States which Spotify was advertising. I was looking for some new music so I clicked on it and they have just released a new EP called Anna Sun, with three songs which are great!
Here is one of them, enjoy!

I will say that they deserve an 8/10
And this is their website in case you are curious: http://walkthemoonband.com/
